5 Weeks Post Shave

It's been 5 weeks since I shaved off my hair and I'm happy with the progress that my coils are making. The top left picture is what my hair looks like after it has been washed  and conditioned with a rinse out conditioner. I have low to medium density hair so when my coils group together it looks like I have little bald patches. I've started using a pomade which contains Jojoba Oil, Rice Bran Wax, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E and I'm hoping that it will increase the density of my hair. According to this study mice were able to grow thicker hair by using 3% Peppermint Oil diluted in Jojoba Oil for four weeks without any toxic side-effects. I'm quite wary about using 3% Peppermint Oil on my scalp because essential oils are extremely potent. However, I'm eager to grow thicker hair so I'm praying that God will protect me from any negative side effects.
This is what my hair looks like after it has been moisturised and smoothed down with gel and a headscarf. I applied Luster's S-CURL "No Drip" Curl Activator Moisturiser to my freshly washed hair and scalp followed by my aforementioned Jojoba and Peppermint Oil pomade. Then I applied Luster's S-CURL Lite Curl & Wave Jel Activator followed by a home-made pomade containing various oils, Cocoa butter, beeswax and lanolin. This combination ensures that my hair is thoroughly moisturised. I wanted to smooth down my coils so I applied Maui Moisture Body Jelly followed by some mineral oil to prevent the gel from drying out my hair.
Here's another view of the gelled down look. Short hair don't care🙃
