Further to my previous Rice Water post, I created a conditioner which contains the following ingredients:
Inositol 4%
Panthenol 4%
Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey 3%
Hydrolyzed Keratin 2% (0.2% active with 1.98% water)
Flax Seed gel 87% (contains 15% glycerin and a preservative).
I started using panthenol and quaternized honey in my conditioners 10 years ago and I haven't experienced any adverse effects from those ingredients so I decided to add them into the conditioner. As I've never used Inositol before I was concerned about using it on my scalp so I decided to apply the conditioner to dry hair. I washed my hair yesterday and I applied some oils and butters to my hair and scalp so I was hoping that products would protect my scalp from any adverse effects that the conditioner might cause.
The conditioner made my hair feel soft and moisturised and it had a nice amount of slip. I applied the Rice Bran Oil on top of the conditioner and allowed it to dry so that created a light oil film. The above picture shows what my hair looks like after the conditioner was left to dry on my hair. I didn't notice any adverse effects so I'm planning to use it again in the future.
