When my hair was shorter, S-CURL Lite Curl & Wave Jel Activator would define my coils so I decided to revisit the Jel to see if it would define my coils at their current length. I applied a homemade conditioning balm to my freshly washed and conditioned hair before applying the Jel on top. My hair felt soft and moisturised but their wasn't much definition. My son's coils are longer (and tighter) than mine but this product combination defines his coils so I don't think that the product combination impedes coil definition for hair that naturally coils when wet.
I added some Eco Style Olive Oil gel on top of the S-CURL Lite Curl & Wave Jel Activator to see if I would get more coil definition. The Eco Style Gel caused my coils to clump together more but my hair still looked fluffy and frizzy. It took ages for the Eco Style Gel to dry and my hair is still quite damp in the above picture. I didn't shingle or define each strand individually because I'm looking for a quick style. I will continue to experiment with different product combinations.
