It's been a year and two months since I shaved off my hair and I absolutely love my coils. Yesterday I used the Pure Plex Hair Repair System to help to strengthen my hair because I'm eager to wear it in an afro puff. The pack comes with a Clarifying Shampoo, a Bond Protecting Treatment, a Bond Reconstructing Treatment and a Conditioner. The above picture was taken while Bond Reconstructing Treatment was in my hair.
After rinsing out the treatment I used my homemade Leave in Conditioner which contains Organic Coconut Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetrmonium Chloride, Hydrolysed Lupine Seed Extract, Lactic Acid, Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexylglycerin. I sealed in the moisture with a homemade Conditioning Serum containing Cyclomethicone and Broccoli Seed Oil. Cyclomethicone is a volatile silicone that evaporates from the hair so it doesn't cause build up. After applying the products I placed my hair with loose twists then I covered them with a satin scarf. I used a hand held dryer to blow medium heat onto the scarf for about 3 minutes then I allowed my hair to air dry.
