I purchased the above Aloe Vera Gel from a pharmacy yesterday and was excited to use it on my hair and scalp because it contains some skin friendly ingredients.
I used the gel for the first time today after applying my hair butter to my freshly washed hair and scalp. The gel emulsifies the oils in my hair and turns white making it look like I've covered my hair in lotion. I applied some pomade on top of the gel then I wrapped my hair with a headscarf for about 30 minutes. The gel has a decent hold but it left a white cast on my hair so I had to use a light pomade to get rid of the cast. I think that this gel will work better on my body rather than my hair.
My hair is at a stage where it's too short to form a coil so it would look messy if I didn't slick it down. As I still have scalp exposed I'm currently looking for a skin friendly product to smooth down my hair. Aloe Vera is great for the skin so I'm going to use this on my body.
