I normally make my own rinse out and leave in conditioners using btms as the conditioning emulsifier because behentrimonium methosulfate is an excellent detangler. However, the Coronavirus pandemic has made it more difficult for me to get my raw cosmetic ingredients so I decided to search for a conditioner that is gentle enough for me to use on my scalp.
I found Childs Farm Sensitive scalp conditioner at Superdrug 8 days after I shaved off my hair and I used it for a week. The conditioner does a great job at soothing my scalp which can be quite sensitive at times. I tested the ph and it's approximately ph4 which is perfect because acidic conditioners are great at smoothing the cuticles of hair.
The conditioner contains Cetrimonium Chloride which I'm quite familiar with as I use it in my conditioners. However I normally use Cetrimonium Chloride alongside BTMS for maximum impact. I tried the conditioner on my son's hair and it was okay at detangling his short hair. I doubt this conditioner's detangling abilities will be powerful enough for long afro textured hair but it works for my bald head so I'm going to continue using it for now.
