I've been using Lanolin in my hair products for about 10 years because it's very moisturising for the hair and skin. In December 2016 I purchased some Lansinoh Lanolin as I was due to give birth on Valentine's day 2017. I had braidlocs with curly ends at the time so I decided to use the Lansinoh Lanolin on my loose ends prior to doing a Braid-Out (see below pic). My ends felt nice and soft and I was pleased with the results.
I gave birth to my son in February 2017 and started planning a vacation to the South of France a few months after. I needed a low maintenance hairstyle for the vacation so I set my hair on Bobby pins using water, Sesame Oil and Lansinoh Lanolin on the ends. I wore my hair up in a curly puff for the duration of the vacation and it stayed moisturised for the whole week.
Now that my hair is very short it feels a lot dryer than usual so I decided to use some Lansinoh Lanolin to keep it moisturised. I moisturised my hair with Peppermint Water and then applied the Lanolin to my hair. It was initially sitting on the surface of my hair and scalp so I wrapped my hair in a headscarf for 30 minutes.
After taking off the headscarf my hair felt soft and moisturised so I'm happy with the results. Lanolin is a bit too thick snd sticky to use on my hair on a regular basis so I will probably blend it with oils and beeswax to make a moisturising styling balm.
