6 Months 6 Days Post Shave

On Tuesday I placed my hair in the above style using Petroleum based products on moisturised hair. Petrolatum slows down the evaporation of water so my hair was super moisturised. I unravelled the twists yesterday night and I used Dax Removing Shampoo to clarify my hair. I followed this up with Shea Moisture's 10-in-1 Multi-Benefit Hair Masque. I kept the Masque on for 5 minutes allowing the steam from the bath to help the ingredients to penetrate my strands. After rinsing I applied a homemade strengthening leave in conditioner followed by Fantastia ic's Heat Protector Straightening Serum, then I covered my hair with a satin scarf and sat under the dryer for 15 minutes. My hair was still damp so I placed it in loose twists, covered it with a scarf and allowed it to dry over night.

When I woke up this morning I placed the top left section in mini twists using a homemade twisting cream. I'm not able to do straight parts at the back of my head so I went to a natural hair salon and got the rest of my hair flat twisted back using Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.

I misted the mini twists with water then I sprayed them with World of Curls Moisturizing Oil Sheen spray. I braided them and placed bands at the end to prevent them from shrinking too much as they dried. After a few hours I unravelled and separated them for a fluffy side bang.

At night, I moisturised the side bang with World of Curls Moisturizing Oil Sheen spray then I placed the section into loose flat twists. I wrapped my hair with a satin du-rag followed by a stocking cap before going to bed.
