Hyaluronic Acid is a powerful moisturiser and humectant that can hold up to 1000 times it's weight in water. I started using the above Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid serum a few years ago and I would apply it to my freshly washed skin before moisturising my face. The product didn't clear up my hyper-pigmentation but it made my skin feel smooth and hydrated so I continued to use it.
Last summer I moved to a new home and I noticed that there was damp and mould in the property. A specialist came to treat the issue and he speculated that the previous residents didn't open up the windows to let the condensation out. After the issue was treated, I went to great lengths to ensure that the damp and mould didn't return. I used anti-mould paint in the affected areas and I would air out the property on a regular basis.
I started using a wardrobe dehumidifier a few months ago and it's doing a good job at absorbing moisture. Sadly, as there's less humidity in my home Hyaluronic Acid has started to dry out my skin. When there isn't enough moisture in the air Hyaluronic Acid will pull moisture out of the dermis leading to dryness. I have dry, eczema prone skin so I use E45 Cream on top of my moisturiser but it hasn't been able to stop Hyaluronic Acid from pulling moisture from my skin. I'm going to experiment with using a beeswax balm to lock in the moisture.
