It's been one year and three months since I shaved off my hair and the above picture was taken yesterday. I decided to put my hair in braids prior to going to a hotel spa for my 40th birthday. I knew that I was going to be swimming and I didn't want to deal with shrinkage. I braided my hair myself with Yaki human hair in colour 1 (jet black). I used Shine n Jam Conditioning Gel on my natural hair prior to braiding.
